President Klaus might still chair June EU Council

This blog reported from the federalist and EU insider source Euractiv, here, that the deal to allow a faceless bureaucrat to take over as Prime Minister in the Czech Republic included the understanding that President Klaus would Chair the EU's June summit that will thrash out the terms for the Irish Second Referendum Re-considerations! I quote from Euractiv and my earlier post of 10th April: The deal also appears to allow eurosceptic President Václav Klaus to chair the June EU summit, where Ireland is expected to report on plans to hold a second referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. Subsequently this appeared to be denied as the federalists got cold feet, reported here, now on his FT blog, Tony Barber in Brussels (no, not the disastrous former Tory Chancellor of the Exchequer and later Chairman of Standard & Chartered Bank if I recall, oh the boom and busts of years gone by, I remember he too kept spending like an idiot as the economy crashed under traitor Heath!) writes that President Klaus might indeed Chair the June meeting and anticipates fireworks, read here. Mr Barber's blog seems to carry a hint that he might be prepared to depart from his newspaper's normal policy that everything to do with the EU is automatically sacred as if blessed by one on high.... well done Sir! Imagine if the editorial policy makers of the FT engaged their brains and saw the obvious that the EU ne marche pas!, AND that President Klaus is the sole sane leader amongst the 27!
