William Hague - unfit for Richmond, Parliament and even the Foreign Office!

Each morning, one of the first things I see is an oil painting of Richmond in Yorkshire. This was, I believe, a wedding present for one of the daughters of a former editor of the local Richmond newspaper, Mark Fooks. This gentleman later went on to work at The Northern Echo in Darlington where he regularly wrote of the values he endeavoured to live by and instilled in his sole Grandson. While I would not suggest that all these values were always entirely practiced by that gentleman himself, he nevertheless handed them down lock, stock and barrel to his own eldest Grandson, yours truly, the humble scribbler of this blog. What a shock, therefore, to witness the dreadful weasel words and prevarications over the payments of UK taxes by Tory big whig Lord Ashcroft offered by William Hague MP for Richmond in Yorkshire, presumed Deputy Leader of the Conservative Party and likely next Secretary of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This occurred yesterday morning on the Andrew Marr programme. When the transcript of the programme and/or a video of the disgraceful pantomime is available, they will be added to this blog posting. Meantime a copy of this post is being forwarded to the Chairman and members of Mr Hague's local Conservative Association so that urgent de-selection may be considered. If Richmond in Yorkshire can vote for such a man to again represent them in the next Parliament, then the entire country truly has gone to the dogs!
